Thai-Yoga massage is a wonderful interactive massage which feels similar to partner yoga, that people love to give and receive!
This hands-on workshop will show you how to add thai yoga massage to any table or floor or partner yoga treatment. We'll cover basic techniques, philosophy, benefits, and applications, with the receiver lying on their back and belly, working on the feet, legs, abdomen, ribcage, back, and shoulders. You'll leave with a 45min comprehensive thai-yoga routine to start practicing right away.
Thai massage is based on the ancient medical techniques of Thailand, with has roots in yoga, Buddhism, and indigenous thai culture. It helps increase flexibility, reduce muscle pain, relieve joint restrictions, soften fascia, and promote deep relaxation and rest, using passive range of motion and compression.
Open to anyone. No yoga or massage experience necessary. Massage therapists earn 7 NCBTMB CES. You can choose to work on a floor mat or yoga mat or massage table.
Bring a friend (or come on your own and we'll partner you with someone) and come play! $200 for two people that register together (couples, yoga buddies, friends, massage colleagues, physical therapists, etc). $135pp on your own.
